Purple filming

The images in dazzling colors and the text tell a lot about the horror and risk of fleeing to Europe. They try to counter ignorance and normalization of people suffering and dying. Amel Alzakout who filmed her whole journey (on the sinking boat, under water) showed her movie Purple Sea at the Berlinale. The article is not about the lucky ones (how can you be lucky to have seen and experienced horror). It is about the ignorance of the Media, the politicians, the people. About the 54 that died in this crossing, about the 3771 people dying in similar stories in 2015, about the 1140 people who died trying to cross the Mediterranean Sea the first six months this year and the dread for all the people involved. The pictures and the text remind and touch something of the horror. Do spectators/readers feel better because they can feel a tiny bit of pain?
